마틴 루터 킹 주니어, Martin Luther King, Jr. 마틴 루터 킹 2세 (1929년 1월 15일 ~ 1968년 4월 4일)

 

미국의 침례교 목사이자 인권 운동가, 흑인 해방 운동가, 권리 신장 운동가, 기독교 평화주의자로, 미국내 흑인의 인권 운동을 이끈 개신교 목사 중 한 사람으로 꼽힌다. 1964년 노벨 평화상을 받았다.

1. 진정한 리더는 합의를 찾는 사람이 아니라 합의를 만들어 내는 사람입니다.

A genuine leader is not a searcher for consensus but a molder of consensus.

2. 날지 못한다면 뛰십시오, 뛰지 못한다면 걸으십시오, 걷지 못한다면 기십시오. 무엇을 하던 가장 중요한 것은, 앞으로 나아가야 한다는 것입니다.

If you can’t fly then run, if you can’t run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.
